(45) We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not over them a tyrant.[1533] But remind by the Qur’ān whoever fears My threat.

We know best whatever they say; and in no way are you a potentate over them. So remind by the Qur'an him who fears (My) threat.

We know best what they say; and thou art not one to overawe them by force. So admonish with the Qur'an such as fear My Warning!

45. I know best what these deniers say. And you are not imposed on them, O Messenger, to force them to accept faith. You are only a conveyer of what Allah has ordered you to convey, so remind through the Qur’ān he who fears my warning to the disbelievers and the sinful, because the fearful is the one who takes advice and takes reminders when reminded.
